Consultation / Training to Schools
Teachers and school staff play a major role in caring for children and young people. It is important to recognise the role they have in child development and how to support children in developing resilience to emotional and behavioural difficulties. As a result we offer training and consultations to schools to support with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
Dr Lakshman (Lucky) Ganatra and Dr Manjeet Susch both offer services to schools.
Consultations
Whether you have one child in your class / school with complex emotional and behavioural needs or a group, we can support you through consultation and supervision.
Consultations for individuals are to support and understand the needs of a specific child including their emotional well-being, behaviours, managing risks and developing strategies to support them.
Where you have a group of children that you require consultation around, we can offer either a half-day or full day consultation as a one-off or regular ongoing support package. One hour consultation slots can be then booked by you or your teachers to discuss their individual needs or this can be in the format of a group consultation around managing behaviours and emotions in the classroom and developing and attachment informed way of working with difficulties.
Training
With the complexities teachers and school staff are managing, it is essential to have a good understanding of the difficulties children face. We can offer training for a range of topics including:
- Anxiety and Depression
- Self-harm and Suicide
- Trauma and Attachment
- Resilience
- Emotional Regulation
This is not an exhaustive list and if you have a specific training in mind, please Contact Me to discuss and we'd be happy to explore and create an individual training package for your needs.
