Dr Sarjan Grewal
Clinical Psychologist
About me
Hi, my name is Sarjan, I work with adults as a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist in the West Midlands. Deciding to go ahead with private therapy can be a difficult choice to make. I thank you for visiting this website and for reading this page.
I have over 10 years of experience working in NHS mental health settings and charitable sectors. I have a specialist interest in working with adults who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, shame and a critical sense of self, and want to develop a healthier way of relating to themselves and their world.
My story and ethos
I work with the understanding that life is complex and that everyone comes with their own story. My style focuses on walking alongside you in a deep and emotionally meaningful way. Together, at your pace, we can work to understand how things are now and what change means to you. Because of this, I draw on a range of therapeutic models to deliver an integrated intervention that suits your needs. With this ethos, I have supported many people to make meaningful changes to their lives.
I feel that my passion to follow this path into Psychology began from my experiences growing up as a birth child of a foster family. Having brothers and sisters with different stories to mine encouraged me to think more about what it meant for people to belong and connect with themselves and others. Since those experiences, I have committed myself to the people in my life both professionally and personally. When I am not working, I often spend time with my family, friends and my passions, which include going to comedy shows, exercising and connecting with my spirituality.
Experience and qualifications
My academic and clinical experiences have been across a range of settings. Before Clinical Psychology training this included forensic settings, pain management and perinatal services. During my training I got extensive experience supporting people across the lifespan. I recognise the importance of exploring and understanding how a person’s diverse backgrounds (e.g. race, ethnicity, social class etc.) and experiences contribute to a person’s story. Below is a list of my qualifications and psychological approaches.

From this we can think about whether this is the right fit.
