Dr Neelam Laxhman
Clinical Psychologist
I am a qualified clinical psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals through mental health difficulties. I’ve worked with people facing grief and loss, identity struggles, depression, anxiety, OCD, relationship difficulties, and other emotional and psychological concerns. I prioritise a person-centred approach with each client, tailoring our work together to meet their unique needs and goals.
In our sessions, I draw from several therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Analytical Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe in collaboratively determining the most suitable approach, ensuring that our work feels empowering and grounded and reflects the client’s experiences and values.
Over the years, I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from young children and adolescents to adults and older adults (65 +). I also work across various systems, such as schools, primary care practices, and family networks, recognising the importance of a holistic support system for each person. My commitment is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space where healing and growth are possible, whatever life stage or challenge a client may be facing.
